Community Service Update
The Community Service Committee met and have this information to share with you:
We will be conducting our annual collection of toys for the Christmas Bureau
at the December luncheon meeting. This year we will also be collecting new
winter sox for children, women and men. Cash is also gratefully accepted. I am always
impressed at your generosity and the great selection of items that you donate. Thank
you!
Going forward, and to help you plan ahead, at each of our luncheon meetings our
committee will be collecting specific items:
June meeting............shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
( Personal care bags will be assembled using these items.)
September meeting....hats, mittens, gloves and winter sox.
December meeting.....toys, sox, cash
Another local program that we are hoping to support is the Enlisted For Life program.
You can also support this program on your own. Check it out on Facebook. The email is
enlistedforlife.com. I will give you more information at the December luncheon.
The Community Service Committee encourages you to consider supporting your
community with your talents and skills.
